I have a 2013 triton 220 lts bay, rides like a dream with a 200 merc. Does what a bass boat can , handles chop and can handle the salt. Also great for family fun. I checked out skeeters too but went with triton

We tested most all the cc models, when we were boat shopping last year. After 6 months of testing we went with SeaFox. I could not be happier with the boat. I know several guides use the exact same boat. It handles very well, and has a Carolina flair to the front to keep you dry under most any condition. We ordered ours with all the features, I-pilot, humminbird 998, on board charger, underwater lights, stereo. Then added a T-top, with an e-box, and water mister. The four stroke Yamaha out performs the 200-hp two stroke I had on my bass boat any day. Not to mention it sips gas. If you want to have a ride let me know. Fish on. Hey seafox how do you like that Stryker T-top? I put on on my boat last nov. So far so good. I love it. Looked at a lot of T-tops. Choose Stryker when I saw it on a boat on Texoma. Seems to be built well, looks good, and I get comments about it all the time.

Gator Bay is a cool company. One of the few who will work with you on custom building a boat. Joe Reed's GB is awesome, they changed the whole back deck for him and put light grey in the floor paint to suit him. Great ride as well. You will love it JD! +1 On the Gator Bay. BTW, Matts Skeeter is a dry ride.

I am looking for a new bay boat pit manly use in lakes for stripper hybrid and some large mouth fishing. I think I am buyer this 24 foot nautic star with a 250 horsepower v-max what do y'all think? I've seen and been on a 24 ft nautic star. Great boat! Thumbs up from me My buddy Champion Fish has the 22 ft nautic and I love his boat and Gene loves his as well. Gene's boat is the nicest boat I have ever fished out of!
I do enjoy a good Squirt now and then.

man Heaven forbid you have an opinion on here. I'll change, Skeeter is the best boat ever. I'll never buy a different boat Skeeter for life. I'll just start letting my wife drive, since that must be the problem, I don't know how. I never though that one comment would turn in to that! No sponsorship talking like that I guess?

I've been in several CC boats and some have a little drier ride than others but like they said most of it in the operator for sure... Go test ride several before your completely sold on just one. If your budget is not an issue get the biggest one with the biggest engine rated for that boat or the next rated one for that boat...I'm also shopping.... My budget is allowing me to stay with the 22fters.. with either the four stroke 150 or 200 motor. Although fairly large price difference between the two motors..The larger engine most likely will have the hydraulic jack plate and trim tabs standard. Saving a little now... will cost you later! (is what I'm telling my self) I'm torn.....GOOD LUCK Landon Light

I've been in Metro's boat and it does the job just fine with the 150...Along with several others that have that same engine on there 22's and have no complaints what so ever...There very strong motors.... The only complaint will be when and if they sell or trade down the road!!!

I personally fish out of a Triton TR-21 now but my brother in law who guided for years had a Triton 220 CC with a 200hp Optimax on it.The driest ride I have ever ridden in an Livingston can test the best of em. I visited often last year on the lake with a gentleman who was fishing out of a Nautic Star 224 and he loved it also.Frontier also makes a great 22 ft boat these days.

Dr.Whippersnapper, step up to the pump and go with the 200. Sooner or later you will be in a hurry to get some where, the extra 10 mph is nice to have in the bank.

I agree with Matt, always go big. I have the 225 Yamaha SHO on my boat and now I wish I had the 250 SHO. I thought I would save a little money but now wish I had spent it up front.
