Not to brag but I haven't ever had a problem catching fish. That being said, i know there are some folks on here that can catch a limit before i can get the boat on plane, and can frankly outfish me ANYDAY.This year I promised myself I would work to be a better Crappie Angler & also there are some things I said I would attempt to improve on. 2 of the 4 things I said I would do is pay more attention to detail while I was fishing, and SLOW down! I know I have a tendency to fish faster than my peers but it has worked fine, so i thought it was ok. Today I was alone today in the Xpress so i thought what better time to start? The fish were slow but consistent. I honestly believe that paying attention was the reason for my success today. I caught a few then duplicated the pattern. The pattern was dead sticking and right on the structure. I mean RIGHT ON the brush. And when i moved the jig, i moved ot horizontally instead of a slight twitch. When they hit it, it was no doubt... THEY SLAMMED IT! That Tica bent so many times today it has a natural curve now.... Lol! I only fished 3 hours. Overall I had a pretty decent day. Caught em 14-17 ft. This encouraged me to continue to strive toward taking my skill to a new level!,stay tuned for updates.... "A work in progress" ONE SIDE OF THE LIVEWELL THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WELL LIVEWELL

Dang Griff, those are some fatties right there. I can't wait to get rid of this cough and cold so I can get back out there again. I am sure those outstanding hand tied jigs you create have something to do with your success as well.

I was listening to slabmeplease on the phone with you today at the track meet. We're gonna try to put a dent in them next weekend. Good catch Griff.
