This is probably one of those questions that have been asked multiple times but, how many rods can you have out that have a line in the water? Someone recently told me only two at a time.

Depends on lake rules most of the lake seems to have only 2rods at a time.

Depends on how slow or fast things are going and how much work I want to do. I usually start with 4 to 6, if there's a decent bite or I'm feeling lazy might end up with 2 in the water.

I fished 10 rods yest from the bank. Waded each one out 75-80 yards and spread them out about a hundred yards of shoreline. That's propably my max from the bank esp if I am wading them out there. It's a good workout.

I'll fish 10-12 on the boat by myself. Up to 20 if I got someone with me. No limit on a boat.

Between 3 of us me my dad and uncle we normally take 15 rods and when my brother goes if we're on the bank we'll have 20out in the boat normally around 7 or 8.

I use 3-4 for where I go I've had some people try telling me I wasnt a good sport for using more then 2... I'm sorry I personally am going after eaters I love a good catfish po boy
