I found out an interesting thing yesterday. I decided to go do a little night fishing on stillhouse lake, and took abt 2 dozen minnows out of my fish aquarium inside my house. when we returned, we put the unused minnows back into the tank. right away we noticed that the minnows that had been in the cold dark lake water were much lighter than the minnows in the warm fish aquarium., the minnows that we dumped in that had been in the lake earlier, were a pinkish, shrimp color, and stood out with great contrast amongst the minnows that had been in there all week. So I believe that the coldfront causes the minnows to turn almost pink, and the crappie instinctively know this, and attack pink jigs more.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

That is exactly what I experienced last Sunday with Lanes Pink & Chartreuse Thump Buddy. Your observations have confirmed my thoughts. Great info.

. it took abt a half hour for them to get back to their darker color once I put them back into the tank.
