Looks like Cabelas will start construction on a new "Cabelas Outpost" store in Waco this spring. I guess that is a scaled down version? Not a big fan of Cabelas, but it is good to have some more choices without having to drive to DFW. Even better since Academy is stocking less and less!

That is a good deal. If a store sales fishing and hunting stuff I like em.

That is great news! I am glad to see that we have other options besides Academy. I know now that my paycheck will not be enough!

Is the other locations in Texas "outpost stores"?

The other locations in TX are the full size stores. For example the store in Buda is 185,000 sq ft the one coming to Waco is only going to be 42,000 sq ft less then a 1/4 of the size.

If you live in/around Waco, the biggest advantage to this will be access to "no shipping charges" online shopping through "ship to store". 90% of my shopping at Cabela's is online as they run the best sales on their website of any outdoor retailer IMO. I live about 10 minutes from the Ft. Worth store and its a blessing (or curse).

Many times I will find just one or two things I want on sale and my total may be less then $5. No way I could justify that if I had to pay shipping charges. I have literally had orders of less than $1 before.

I just walked into my CEO's office and told him I needed a raise.
