Are you talking about the Shimano Loomis or the Gary Loomis blanks? Big difference

You can't get g.loomis (now owned by shimano) blanks they killed the program. You can get north fork composites, Gary loomis's company blanks that's all they make.

Temple fork outfitters is who you need to look at, Gary loomis blanks and signature series. Lifetime warranty and half the price

I have a GLX and Dobyns Extremes. The GLX BCR is a little bit more senstive IMO, but I like the dobyns better overall...less money and superb warranty/customer service. I've heard alot of good things about the KLX's but a one year warranty keeps me from pulling the trigger on one.

Half the price yes, but half the sensitivity too. Not to mention twice the weight. LOL!

GLX's are tough to beat. Will say that St. Croix have come a long way in the last few years though. Their sensitivity is on par with Loomis and they balance very, very well.

Everyone that thinks TFO rods are heavy needs to put down the $99 Signature Series and pick up a Gary Loomis Tactical Series, at $149 I promise you can't beat the weight, sensitivity, balance or the warranty!!!

I haven't even seen a Tactical Series rod yet. I'd like to though. I love to find a rod in that price range that truely lives up to the hype. It seems that several companies have learned how to balance rods in that price range well enough to make them feel great to hold in store but rarely do they as good as they feel. I'm a fishing rod junkie so I'll keep the Tactical series in mind.

The big stores do not have the Tactical Series, search the web do dealers or TFO is in Dallas. I'll try to take a pic of one of mine with a reel on it & post it.

Your crazy man, as already noted go fish a tactical series which by the way are the ones loomis signed off on not the 99 dollar series. Fish with the taticals and you will be shocked.

Got my tactical at the place that's part of fun and sun. Anglers pro? This rod lives up to its hype and you can't beat the warranty.
