Getting my boat out of the shop today after being put up for 3 years. I have a long weekend coming and want to do some blue fishing when its not hurricance force winds this weekend. Haven't fished Hubbard for Cats even though its 5 minutes from the house. If the wind wasn't going to be a challenge I would go to Tawak. Want to take my 16 year old son and 2 of his friends. Any advice of where and how will be GREATLY appreciated. Oh, and does anyone know of any markets where I can buy some Buffalo in Garland or Dallas?
Thanks in Advance!

Fiesta foods sell buffalo
Good luck this weekend!

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I would launch at 66 ramp or Harbor Bay and head north into the sticks. The timber north of 66 always produces fish this time of year. If you have a cast net, shad should not be a problem at harbor bay early in the morning. Store bought buffalo is a good but fresh shad is key on hubbard. Good Luck! thumb

Isn't there a Fisherman's Supply on that lake? They should have fresh shad.

Going with the Bee rready's because they have the mount for the built in track on the side so I won't have to screw directly into the Gunnel... Haven't got them yet though.....
