I picked one up today after some research. I have always used Curados, but this reel seems like the real deal. Anybody using them that can provide some feedback?

Have two of the Tournament Speed Spools and two of the clearanced Team Lews.......hate to say it, but I like them better than my Shimano's. And I have always been a Shimano guy.

When I bought my Lews, my other reels were Curados and also drew my comparison to Lews from them. Both are great reels. I just wish I could hear someone's comparison to Revos.

I prefer them over my revo's.
I like the handles on my premeir, gen 3 stx and gen 3 winch better.
But only the handles.

Everything else I like better abou the lews, they seem to cast much better too

Always good to get what you ask for. As for my Curados, I put ceramic bearing in them and still prefer my Lews over them.

The tournament pro is a great reel,I have always been shimano but not anymore. Also have gen 3 revo's both throw a mile but I think for me the lews is smoother.

Like someone above, Ive been a pretty die hard Shimano guy for a long time. Ive had numerous Curados(200B, 200BSF, 200D) Chronarch 100SF, etc.. Well I bought a Lews Tournament MG Speed Spool in 5.4 Gear ration a year or so ago, and i freakin love it. Its smooth, casts a mile, and just feels great. id highly recommend them, and will be looking at more when the time comes.

go big or go home.

I'm about to move everything over to Lews. They are just too good of a reel to only have one. My allegiance to Shimano greenies has been broken frown

I have 9 tourney pros, a bb1 and a super duty. I could not be more happy with them.

I have several and like them but the drag is only 14 lbs whereas the Abu Garcias have a lot more drag for the bigger fish
