Your choice but it is still hard to beat 20 lb. Big game.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

if your fishing Fork go 20 whether mono or fluro- jigs get big fish and if one of those hawgs strike that jig y'll need the extra line strength-killer to lose a big fish because of too light line- better safe than sorry--
Henry David Thoreau said that "Some men fish all their lives without knowing it is really not the fish they are after." I think that I am approaching this stage, that is to have the opportunity and joy to go fishing and enjoy God's magnificent creation.

Better feel with the fluorocarbon but can't beat the strength of the big game. Try both on similar set ups and see which you like better, i prefer 50 to 65# braided line.

All these tips are spot on. Don't overthink everthing. Twenty # McCoy for me. Put the jig in the water. Best luck..

I've been using cajun red 17 pound and spiderwire supermono 17........the cajun is larger diameter and I can't break it.......if you hang up it will require the trolling motor to pop it......the spiderwire supermono is thinner....less memory ....more sensitive .....and about 90% as strong........both are smaller diameter than BG 20

They were fishing jigs just fine with mono for years. You will be fine should you use it. To me fluoro is better but no shame in my game if I were to use mono.

Big Game is fine. I would not use 15# anything for jigs.

One more tip Willy, keep your finger on the line and watch where the line enters the water at all times, jig bites can be sneaky!

Stretch on mono is AWEFUL I can't fish bottom baits with it... I'd do Flouro. 20 lbs at fork, 15 on average lakes.

I use 15lb invizx with zero problems and I'll never switch back to mono for bottom baits. Moving baits and treble hook top waters are all I use mono for besides backing.

I fish most jigs on braid. Most of the time I am throwing them in the thick stuff and I have more confidence with braid in the thick stuff. For smaller baits like a finesse jig I use P-Line Floroclear.
It happened to the best of them: John 21:3
