I still use the Mepps Comet Minnow on occasion and I still have great success with it. They are still fairly easy to find and I keep them on hand for changing things up a bit.

Been using a pico perch and lil' pico pop for almost 40 years now. Catch fish on them every year. Fish never seem to get tired of them.

H & H spinnerbait. Was having trouble filling out a limit in a club tournament one time and couldn't get that 5th fish. Tried everything. Was looking in my box and found some H & H spinners I had for pond fishing with my grandkids. Decided to tie it on since I have caught a ton of bass on them at ponds. Within 20 minuites not only caught my 5th keeper but caught one more cull fish also. Always been a great bait.

A Jitterbug worked for me last year during a few times when nothing else would do it.

I fished Heddon's crazy crawlers in all colors for many years when I bassfished in the Northeast. I would use them in Texas but the hooks are so small and the fish here are so big! Some day I will switch out the hooks on one and see if it screws up the action.
