Blew my 225 HPDI over the weekend. So do I repair with remaunfactored power head, buy a new powerhead or buy a new motor? remanufactored scares me. New motor wont cost all that much more than a new powerhead (especially if there is something else wrong with the motor that caused the problem) and will have a longer warranty. i need it fixed asap so I need to move quick. any advice on my options?
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.

its 6 in one half dozen the other remanufactured are in my opinion just as good as new if you get them form say OBR who replaces everthing new and they come with a warrenty i have used them for about 6 years and replaced probubly 20-25 powerheads and never had an issue if you need a hand feel free to give me a call

Texas outboard rebuilders on Cedar Creek will rebuild within a week normally and give you a 4 yr warranty at a great price.

I went with the re-man. It came with warranty and was about $10k less than a new engine. When they rebuild it, they will inspect all parts and find the culprit.
