I've tried cow, and deer blood. Nothing works like chicken though. I wonder if my HOA would have a problem with me having a hundred chickens? Very temporarily of course.

I use catfish charlie dough bait sometimes. I think it has chicken blood in it.

I'm referring to fresh chicken blood, like from the processing plant. We used to be able to get it by the 5 gallon bucket full, but they stopped doing that after the avian flu scare. Just wasn't sure if that was a temp thing, or if they stopped it all together.

Pour it through a screen and let the chunks/clots dry a bit. Then take small strips and wrap it around a treble hook. You can't really throw it, so I use a fly rod to flip it out under docks, etc.
