Here's a few from my Summer Vacation.....

Colorado Cutts.....
This one from Wolf Creek almost at the top of the pass

Here's one from another Drainage in Colorado

Joe holding this one FOASTWRN

Another from the East Hermosa headwaters

WestSlope Cutthroat from the Taylor Fork in Mt

Monster Yellowstone Cutthroats from the Lamar River valley

After 2 years of 200% snow packs and high water into August the Cutts grew to sizes that I have not seen before. Many 14-16" Cutts instead of 12-14" averages and I caught 18"+ Cutts every day. It was incredible !

I love catching Cutts

Jimbo

1st Meadow and easy hike in and hike out day, The 2nd meadow, a tough hike in and out in 1 day, the 3rd meadow, you were definitely in some pristine water, with either a couple of overnight stays or a fast horse to do that.
This summer should be some kind of spectacular in Yellowstone.

Yea I have been wanting to venture that far north. Do you take bear spray?

As far as bears go, Robert, don't know what this year will bring but normally Grizzlies are prevalent in the Slough Creek drainage. Didn't go last year but in 2011 we encountered over 15 blacks and grizzlies in the NE part of the park in a week. We've been backpacking around there since the 70's and typically only saw any bear about once every 1-2 years.

Used to never carry spray but now always do ....

BTW Jimbo, that's me at 3rd Meadow, and it took a BIG fast horse to get me there.
