Abu garcia makes the ike duke for around twenty bucks online at academy fun i had one gave it to my stepson he loves it...its a spinning combo...or anything by shakespeare..they are good for surface action type stuff.....but i have the proangler crappie rod 8ft think they make em shorter with a quantum optix on it all for around 50-60 bucks all together!! but the ike dukes are good bang for the buck combos...they can handle a bit...

Pflueger Trion GX-7...I have 2 of these and use them for sandies, Hybrid and LMB. Landed over 20+ hybrid and 200+ sandies and have zero issues with the combos.

Quantum Optix10 Ultra Light rod reel combo, filled with 6 lb Trilene XL, 29.99 at Academy! That is about all i use, for crappie, white bass and black bass. In summer it is a great bluegill/tilapia rig too!! Extremely versatile. I always have one when in someone's boat on lakes in summer when acres of whites suddenly surface! I have it loaded with a 1/6th oz Rooster Tail, on 6 lb Trilene XL, and the sandies/whites consider it "Armed and Extremely Dangerous".

2500 model siennas on tournament choice rods from academy would work good and the trions by pflueger would work well

If it's for kids in the boat, make you're life easier and get some Zebco spincast combos. I still use them for whitebass and I've still got an old Zebco 808 I use for catfish.
Just one more cast!

Shimano Syncopate with Berkley Lightning Rod. Great combo and quickfire release makes it easy for kids.
