I'm going to squaw next week and I want to try and catch a few.

i have been told they dont..not sure of that....have heard a bow works..and heard theyd let you throw a cast net for them at fairfield..all stuff i heard...never did any research...far to many crappie left!

U can cast net um as they are not a game fish. If you keep them be sure to remove the guts before transporting them.

Why do you have to remove the guts before transport?

I know that much, I just don't know why they make it that way...don't want them put in a pond or other lake???

Yes. They don't want them possibly going anywhere else to establish a new population.

I caught hundreds from the boat slip of the place I was staying on the west coast of Florida in Ft. Myers - Bread caught all of them. Might want to wear some gloves while cleaning them, the gills & scales will tear your hands up!

Thanks, I will most likely just try and net them. I just want to see one in person, I have never seen anyone catch one and the curiosity has gotten to me.
