We went fish Monday at Lake Lewisville. Jayboy75, tgravley aka stinkbait tom. I couldn't catch any shad so I phoned Tom and he was king enough to bring me some. I twisted his arm to join us fishing for a little while. I guess he was our lucky charm. We went thru the cut to the Lewisville side and WOW we found tons of birds feeding on the shad.So we started casting our baits at them. We were catching huge sandies and really nice Hybrids. It was a blast. We left them biting to see if we could catch some trophy blues. Only caught a 2 pounder. Heres a picture of Jay with a couple of the hybrids. Tom said he didn't want his picture with those kind of fish.

Sounds like you guys had fun
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Well we did have some great fun with a couple of good guys. Now when Chuck said we left them to catfish I almost fell overboard.
First time I went catfishing with rods and reels. Been jugging a couple of times last year. Two pounds was puny compared to the Hybrids and even the sandies we were catching. LOL
It was the first time I had been fishing since 9/7/2012 due family and my health problems and I completely enjoyed the trip out. Thanks guys.
Fish everytime I can!
