I think my school club is going to the comal this weekend and I was wondering if anyone has Ever fished it before. I go there a lot in the summer and Ive seen so good looking spots and some nice fish with googles under water. So if anyone has any tips I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Right now, I would start off throwing a spinnerbait in a natural color, such as white.

The water is very clear and can make for a tough bite. Keep that bait moving pretty good with a medium to fast retrieve (this should produce some good reaction strikes).

Otherwise, I would use small soft plastics with fluorocarbon line. A small tube or crawfish should work well.

I used to fish coral a lot when visiting my grandpa. Drop shot is the way to go on 4lb Flourocarbon. Very small natural worms will be the ticket. I actually caught some of my biggest bass out of there on Berkeley power bait trout worms with a drop shot. If you can't find trout worms.... Just keep it thin and natural

I went there last september and tore them up with a yellow rooster tail from the banks at the condo I was staying at across from schlitterbahn(sp?) Caught many of them around the 1.5 to 3pd. Generally 10 to 15 in an hour. Did catch one 2 lb smalley that put up a creat fight and a few small guad bass too.
