So I am going to be going to port aransas area to fish sat and I was wondering where the better spot to fish would be I was down there the last two sat and fished red dot and only caught a bunch of pan perch and last sat fished bob hall and only caught whiting and hardheads so I was thinking of trying horrace caldwell but I have also been bouncing around maybe going to copano pier to fish the bay side so my question I guess is what would be better fishing I would like to target some drum but at the same time I will have 6 other people with me and only one of them fish as much as me so I really want to make sure everyone has a good time fishing and poss catch something worth while but I need to stay on a pier cause the jetties would be bad for my tackle box lol with inexperienced people

Fish the surf. My favorite spot lately is the South Jetty. You will get a choice of channel, jetty, surf, (deep, shallow, or tip).

Drive to the end of the road in down town - You cant miss the spot
