Wanted to know if the Hill Creek Park ramp has enough water to launch from now?

It always has. I don't know of a time that you could not launch from there. There was a time when it was tricky.

Yes it is safe. If the water keeps dropping then it will be the ONLY ramp you can use.

Thanks guys for responding! We are having a small club tourney Saturday on Tyler. We were first going to take out of Tyler Marina but, we will move it to Hill Creek so to relieve congestion since JC Outdoors is going out of there Saturday.

Is the entire ramp good? I heard someone tore up an axle recently, not sure if that is true. I remember a couple of years ago you had to use one side.

Thanks,

Brian

You can use either side without any problems. The lake was 7.5 ft low when you had to use the left side. Hill Creek is the only ramp to use when the lake is over 6 ft low. Tyler is currently 4ft low.

Ramp is fine, but Tyler should be drained and turned into a golf course. At least then there would be some grass...

You got that right. I have a tournament the 17th and haven't fished the lake for quite a few years and can't even imagine it without the grass.

I used to love Tyler. In fact, in 2010 my partner and I won a few tournaments out there. We had 28lbs and 26lbs in back to back weeks and won both, and two months later we got third with a little over 20lbs. We were smashing fish. Our Media tourny out there last weekend, we boated one keeper. 2.15 lbs. I can not catch them there any more. Truly a very sad situation. Hope your luck is better than mine.

But Marlin and Anthony won the Media with 19lbs and change. With almost 9 lb kicker. They found them......

I know, I was there. I just said I can not catch them there anymore. It's very tough on me most of the time. I have fished all the brush I know out there, and cannot find em. There will always be someone at every tourny that gets on a good sack. Tyler is just not as consistent as it used to be when it was pumping out over 20 lbs every tournament (thanks to the grass.)
