If he had a bad trip with a guide I would say he probably didn't do his homework before hiring him.

There are a bunch of good ones on Fork. Some are better at deep water structure while some are better at shallow stuff. Some are good at the finesse stuff while others wouldn't dream of doing the sissy techniques.

What's your poison??

Tom Redington. Been with him a couple times and he only picks up a rod if the fishing gets tough or if you ask him to. Awesome guy to spend a day with and has an awesome boat too.

Lots of good ones out there though. He's just the one I've had good experiences with. Heard good stuff about Andrew Grills also.

I went out with Cody Malone last year and he fished. Why wouldn't he? He also casted a line for my dad at least 50 times, got us both unhung a few times, boated fish, tied lures, etc.

I'd want the guide fishing if it was me. One extra line in the water figuring out what and how they want it.

I have a Largemouth at home....sometimes she lets me go fishing.

This is really a simple fix...Interview them [guide] before you go, then you can both set expectation for the trip and it should go fine.

Like my Momma often said....COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY!...Good luck!
