I will be fishing Fayette County for the first time this weekend. Have a small boat and some experience catfishing. I haven't had much luck lately on Dunlap so were are going to try something new. We will be staying at Park Prairie campground so that will by my starting point. Have milo chum all brewed up and ready and just looking for any pointers/tips for this particular lake that anyone is willing to share. Thanks in advance and we will be in a 14ft aluminum Sea Nymph boat this weekend probably with a dog if anyone happens to see us out stop and say hi.

the lake is producing good catches of big channels right now ( see Obiewan's last few reports on here ) there is standing timber by where you are putting in at in 8-15 feet , chum a few spots and use punch bait . Don't overlook the hotwater discharge as well. May see you out there Sun . Good luck and post a report when you get back

Thanks Titleist. I've read some past reports and can't wait to get out there. Good luck this weekend if you make it.

Northwest corner of the lake. Here is some info. on it. Only tent camping but we thought it would be less crowded for sure so we are going to stay there. The other campground, Oak Thicket, is much nicer for sure. http://www.lcra.org/parks/developed_parks/park_prairie.html

Do you have a "Hook-N-Line map of Fayette? If so, PM me and I can give you a couple of areas to try.
