Friend and I went up into the Middle Bosgue just to see if the warm weather has pushed the whites in there and the answer is yes. Caught on chrome rooster tails and chrome/blue rattle traps.
Also caught a few in Hog Creek.

Thanks for sharing. Were you in a boat? If from the bank, what highway/road do you take to get to these spots?

Was in a boat. For bank fishermen this spot is between Hwy 84 and Hwy 6. Turn onto Speegleville Rd. (towards the other Hwy, 84 or 6) and then turn onto McLennan Crossing Rd. (towards Lake Waco) and when you get to the "T" turn right and it dead ends at the river.

oh, by the way my son caught te lake record hybrid on lake waco saturday. We took it to academy and they refused to certify it. Said they didnt do that anymore. We put it on ice and it was given to a biologist for parks and wildlife monday. He certified it at 5.5 pounds and said it lost a pound to a pound and a quarter due to waiting that long , because of academys ignorance. He said academy was going to get a royal [censored] chewing

So I have been watching the forum for a couple months, just learning. Went kayaking a bunch of times in the Middle Bosque last spring and caught some sandies but never really lit into them. Have two questions:

Whats "halfway up the noth bosque"? Halfway to Baylor Camp/Eichelberger crossing? or already there?

Also, I cant figure out anywhere online to get a Lake Waco water temperature. Anyone know a way or place to do that?

Thanks!

Welcome aboard u2
Don't know of anyone who posts water temps on line

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
