Found this listing on Facebook and Craigslist. What do ya'll think? A good deal?

Seem like a good deal. Lots of extras. Extras probably tally up to $4k making the boat price come in at around $8k So, not a steal, but a fair price. My take.

Why would you say this, they make a 4 stroke 115 EFI.

NADA has it listed for about $7K without all the extras, I would offer him 9K and don't go over 10K, It's a buyers market right now so you hold all the cards.

Not bad but I believe it is a 2 stroke maybe he meant it was a 4 cylinder. It does have plenty of extras for sure.

Looks much like my TR186, except for the motor and TM, even originally purchased from the same dealer. Also, I don't know what a Magnum is. ? I thought a magnum was Aluminum.
If fiberglass, 115 HP is way underpowered. Mine has a 150 HP XR6, which is fine, but is rated for 175 HP. If it is aluminum, then maybe 115 is fine.
Price sounds high but the fishing gear could be worth $ 1K. Also, what electronics? There's a hole in the console where the original DF went.

You guys are something else. The cowling says "Four Stroke" but maybe he swapped cowlings??? I assume a man is honest until he gives reason to think otherwise.

It looks to be a four stroke. You can see the Four Stroke lettering starting just to the left of the power pole. The 2003 cowling looks just like this one.

Its more than I would pay for an 10 year old aluminum boat.


One thing I would definitely ask is if this boat has seen salt water.

Beware of craigslist. If you go look at anything on there take some friends.... & a weapon... Craigslist is so full of scammers & criminals ... i would be extremely careful. Also CoachCBA is right. You can find an awesome glass rig for that price.

Well I spoke with the seller earlier, nice guy. Served 20 years with the Navy as a Marine Corps field medic. He doesn't want to sell the rig but he had a federal job lined up before the government stopped hiring. He accepted another job that has a lot of traveling is afraid the boat is just gonna sit.

Funny how ya'll warned about scams from CL; he was mentioning the risks he's getting into from being scammed from potential buyers.

The engine is a 4 stroke and he's just wanting to sell it with the gear. He said something that if he wanted to fish from the bank, he would've never bought the boat. All or nothing with this guy.

I think it's too high. The guy may be the nicest person to ever walk the earth, but he likes his boat (it's worth 13k to him, and rightly so). I give this guy credit for not wanting the boat to just sit, but at 13k it probably will.
