I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR OTHER PEOPLES OPINION ON THE PARK WITH THE NEW BOAT RAMP AT TWIN PEAKS. THE WATER AUTHORITY SAY WILL OPEN MEMORIAL WEEKEND. ALL THE MARINAS ON EAGLE MOUNTAIN IS UP IN ARMS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO CHARGE NEAR AS MUCH. IN MY OPINION THE RAMP FEES ARE WAY TO MUCH THEY ARE CHARGING RIGHT NOW. I LIKE FISHING EAGLE MOUNTAIN BUT I DO NOT FISH THERE MUCH BECAUSE OF THE RAMP FEES.

It looks like a good ramp. Others have raised their launch fees to help stay in business. Right now the ramp I normally use is out of the water. So I don't fish EM as often as I would like to because of it.

I think it is ridiculous how much it costs to launch a boat at eagle mountain. And, for that matter most lakes in texas. I am from the midwest and every lake and river there had free boat ramps paid for with license fees and taxes on fishing equipment.

Marina's make their money on ramp fees? Most marina's make their money on year round boat slip rentals.
If the other Eagle Mountain Lake marina's don't like it that the TRWD will be charging a FAIR price to launch at the new Twin Points Park, well they can lower their ramps fees to be competitive. It is way cheaper to join the FW Anglers Club and launch for free there all year anyway. The marina's on Eagle Mountain Lake are charging too much to launch for me to use them. I live near the lake and won't trade at any marina that charges $20.00 to launch.

I WAS TALKING WITH ONE MARINA OWNER AND THEY WERE ON THE WARM SIDE ABOUT THE NEW RAMP. HE EVEN SAID ALL THE MARINA OWNER WERE GOING TO SUE OVER IT . LOL. I ASK HIM WHO OWNED EAGLE MOUNTAIN. THEN SAID TO HIM YOU ARE SUEING THE OWNER. MAYBE YOU SHOULD DROP THE PRICE OF YOUR RAMP FEES AND USE OTHER THINGS TO HELP MAKE YOUR MONEY WHEN YOU GET MORE BUSINESS. SALE BAIT, LURES AND RODS.

I like high price boat ramps. Harbor One even has a clean toilet to deposit my breakfast burrito in! Even the Harbor Landing neighborhood had to put up a security gate to keep folks out that tried launching there. The fees are high and people will do weird stuff to get on the water. When I was a kid (16) I used the ramp and some tool let the air out the trailer tires. So I left the boat at the ramp with my buddies and went to the gas station for air. Had to beg for a quarter finally got a quarter then put air in one of the tires to realize they removed the valve stems! Ruined two tires going into town for valve stems and air. That was sure one hard way to learn a lesson out there. But if I could ever find out who did it I got something for you. 18 years later I still wanna whoop someone's azz! Also note that my best friend lived in the neighborhood and I had his permission to use the ramp! AzzClowns! Rant over. Ok your ramp old folks... The deal is it will not effect anything as its on the wrong side of the lake! It will cost that much in gas to drive over there to use it! Just keep getting raped on the east side!

Launch fees here in California are getting out of hand lake Tahoe launch $39.00 plus Muscle inspection fee $30.00 $69.00 to get on the water. If they find one drop of water in bilge are in your motor..You cant get on the water at allunless you pay them $85.00 bucks to steam clean your boatWhat a joke.. plus muscle inspection area is 5 miles from launch..
Tahoe is the highest I know of in the state
most saltwater launch fees are about $15.00

other lakes like Fork free to $3 and $5. Bridgeport Lake has free lanuch at Wise County Park. Tarrant County Water District should make the New Twin Points a free lanuch it is the only one that is not in a shallow slue.

I love the Anglers club but it is on the wrong side of the lake for me. I usually get a year pass at Lakeview. Us on the east side do not have really any good options.

Johnny Johnny, I wish you wouldn't make such statements, we all know logic has nothing to do with anything. They (TRWD) are the most charitable organization there is . I am sure there will be no charge .
