Yeah I just got back from a meeting with the Caddo Lake Institute on Lake Caddo and did a ride around to look at the lake. Winter time the Salvinia gets knocked back because of the cold weather but there is still a lot out there. TABC alpong with Texas B.A.S.S. Federation, TBBU and localauthorities are in then process of organizing the first ever non-fish tournament on Caddo Lake along with a regular bass tournament on the second day to collect as much salvinia as they can and remove it from the lake. This project is still in the planning stages but look for more info later this year. I took a lot of pictures on our ride around if any one wants to see them e-mail me and I can share

Caddo is bad cause of the mold winter.
Robert did y'all ride up in the very north end of Jeems? That's where it had been horrible at and never did die off

I see it all the time on Toledo and Dam B. Found some floating at San Augustine Park on Rayburn and called TPWD and they contained and collected it. On Toledo I thought the weevils were making progress but it seemed like it was getting worse this winter in the backs of some of the creeks like Housen.

good evening, hello fullgrown, this battle has been going on for over 4 yrs.(maybe longer)..i fish alot of lakes around here and always check my boat and trailer... you should also, because this "chit" can grow more than 6" daily in warmer weather... it use's up oxygen in the water and NO fish can live without oxygen...all it takes is a few roots or leaves to start...
TPWD will bust your bums if they find it...
tell your friends also, CLEAN YOUR BOAT AND TRAILER!!!!!!!
the story is ...it supposed to be for home fish tanks...
good luck, PURA VIDA, bluebonnet2

mudd never been on Caddo before. Not sure where we went or how we got there. Saw several back water areas that were full of it. Saw one bay that was maybe 20 acres and it was solid in it and this time of year the cold has knock a lot of it back. It will never be stopped but we need to find a way to control it.
