I use worms right now. Is there any advantage to using these plastic lures. Worms are getting far to expensive to use as bait(at least at my local dealer)

Follow the money! your probably right it probably is PETA however I read an article about 6 months ago of how 955 of commercial grade soft plastic baits are being designed to degrade in water after 3 months which then has no more impact on the enviorment

also take it from me Maine has some WORLD CLASS crappie fishing and no where better to find trout or pike
