I'm going to be making my first trip to Tawakoni in mid June. We are going with another family and there will be 8 of us. Is there any waterfront lodging? I've looked on the internet but only found a few places and they are already booked. I would like to rent one place big enough for all of us but if there is somewhere with two cabins by each other and on the water, that would work too.

The only place I am aware of is this little bed and breakfast. They have a number of cabins and only 2-3 minutes from holiday marina. http://shoestringfarmbnb.com/

Shoestrings is where most of our guests stay when fishing with us. Great place right across the street from the marina, but not waterfront. Very affordable at $37 per person with full "Gramma Style" breakfast included. If you r looking for waterfront try www.cottageonlaketawakoni.com or google the Goodson House. Both are very nice places.

I checked out shoestringfarmbnb and it shows it on googlemaps to be in Wills Point, TX, have stayed at the Anchor Inn, really for hard core fisherman, not families, do want to check out the BNB, doesn't show rates, so will give a call there to see what they have and how much. Tawakoni is a great lake to fish.

Steve,
Shoestring is directly across the road from Holiday marnia. The first time I stayed there I saw the same thing on google maps.

We just got back from the state park and it is really nice now but you have to have a tent or camper
There is still grass on the beach

Fishanhunt I can give you info on a waterfront house 4 bedrooms pool table dock to fish off of. It's where my family stays all the time. Eight people would be comfortable there. It's priced VERY reasonable. Pm me or give me a shout 8175079823. Brian king
