nice sep up! how much did you pay for you rack set up if you dont mind me asking ? A good amount. My Jeep didn't have side rails (99% of the ones I see on the road have them, not sure why mine didn't come with them) so those were $120 and I installed them yesterday. Then the Yakima cross bars were about $160. The Landshark cradles were $80 for four of them. So total about $360, but I got 15% off at Mountain Sports since I bought my boat there.

Thanks everyone. I'll be taking her out Saturday and Sunday morning for sure, weather permitting. I'll probably post an open-invite thread once I decide what lake I want to break her in on.

If you decide to go with Ray Roberts, look into getting a Parks Pass. $70 for one year which is a whole lot cheaper than paying $7 a day to park. I am new too and am sticking to Ray Roberts for awhile because I heard the boater traffic is not as bad, the stumps also slow em down.

Parks pass is an excellant idea I think a lot of us here have them as far as the stumps slowing em down at RR didn't happen yesterday afternoon in Buck Creek those fools were blowing thru wide open!

Ha, I guess I got out of there before they went crazy. Biggest danger I saw was that railroad bridge. Stay the hell away from it when a train passes over. 4 pound chunks of concrete falling off of it.

Congrats on the new yak! I've caught some nice hybrids just out from where you shot those pictures. I believe it. I used to watch them boiling out right past my casting range from the bank. So glad those days are behind me!
