Now I know I may sound a bit naive and the answer is no, but I am a bit overwhelmed and figured there would be a good resource on here.

Currently looking at pontoons in the 22-24' range (fish type models). There are hundreds of manufacturers. Would like to go the tri-toon route. Never owned a pontoon though. When talking to boat dealers it can be a bit confusing as they all claim to be made better than the next. I suppose I could make the decision on proximity or service level, but what about boat build?

I am looking at Avalons, G3, Lowe, Veranda, Crest, Suntracker, pretty much any fish models. In terms of the logs on em, and flooring/ride etc. does anyone have any insight?

This would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance!!

I have had a suntracker, and now have a 22' crest fishing model that I like much better.
It has a 90 hp motor and a 54 # trolling motor, which handles it pretty good.
Get a good anchor.

Lifting strakes are aluminum "flares" at the bottom on each log. They greatly assist in lifting (planing out) the boat along with increase performance. These strakes get the boat up on top of the water. Get them.

I see you have not listed Bennington, as an owner, I would suggest looking in to them. I have a 05 model and I know they still have some fishing models to choose from, but I do not know of any changes they have made.

As others have said, you get what you pay for and if you are going to go with a TRI, maek sure you get the largest motor available, inboard or outboard.
