Most of my fishing this year was in the salt. However, I still picked up this 6.8lber on a day I almost didn't go out, thought the bite wouldn't be productive that day. I guess when in doubt...fish it out!

Nice pond bass!

Are Aggies afraid of bass thumb or just into gripping tails like a hammer?

Hahah, she was a feisty one I tell ya. Couldn't get her to hold still for a quick pic. Also, much rather a light tail grab than holding any 5lb+ bass by the lip :-)

Haha, okay y'all. Just as a general response to my "hammer grip," I was informed not to lip grip any bass above 5lbs as it could cause harm to their jaw. I normally lip all other bass below 5, but maybe someone could chime in with their opinion?

Grip the bass in its mouth, and lightly around its tail and hold it horizontal.
