Was thinking about hitting Buck Creek on Sunday before the game. Anybody have any tips? Is the parking area safe for my vehicle? I heard there was some boat ramp parking lot theft around Ray Roberts.

I've parked on top the hill at the ramp parking several times without problems. I've wanted to put in back by the bridge on Buck Creek Rd and try that area but I'm not sure how safe it is out there.

Well darn, I guess I will have to go out there as well.
I have never been up that way, is the fishing there pretty steady?

Glad to hear the ramp is safe. Hope to see you all there.. I probably won't stay too long. The new kayak gave me wet butt yesterday and my scupper plugs won't be here til Tuesday.

Fish the rock piles that the rr tracks are on. Both sides. I caught many cats and a few bass there. Standing on boat ramp we turn left...never caught anything turning to the right.

It was a great morning at Buck Creek for me, got to meet JamesNTX and landed my pb from a kayak. Caught one bass around 5 lb and one bass around 7-8 pounds, she was a 22.5 inch beauty. The wife added a 2pounder and a keeper sandy

Nice to meet you too redshad. I of course caught nada but it was nice to test out the new kayak. Was very happy with how it handled. If you want to send me the pic of the 8#er (james@carlsoncarpet.com), I will post it here.
