Hello all, I just got into bass fishing not less than a year ago and i'm still somewhat a novice for catching fish. I have a few setups and some baits but every time i go to the pond it's always a challenge to even feel a fish hit, let alone hook one. After bumming around the forums forever I think it's time i asked if anyone would be willing to take me with them to the lake sometime. Gas would be on me, since i don't have a car. I have no money for a guide, i just was wondering if i could meet some new people to learn some stuff from.
If you would be willing to let me ride along sometime let me know and send me a PM. thanks

I do not fish these lakes here so I can't help you in that part of your fishing adventures. What I can do as well as others on here is answer any questions you may have about fishing and what you need to do in order to get on the water. We can help you work on your goals that you need to set right now in order to be ready when you do get a vechicle and find that fishing partner to go to the lake with. I would set my first goat to work on those setups and baits you mentioned, making sure they are the correct combinations to take out on the lake when that time comes. We can help you with all those goals to prepair you for that day which will come. Finding someone close enough to come by your house to pick you up and take you fishing might be more difficult than you think. But, it is not an impossible goal. If you have someone that can at least transport you to a pickup point might be helpful. If you have that someone available to run you around you are welcome to come out to the house and I will be more than glad to help you get started and gain some knowledge on this great sport.

I would also take you out sometime, not now my boats in pieces. You would need a ride though I don't fish anything around ft worth, maybe a ride to 114 and we could hit grapvine.

Getting out on a boat may sound like a sure fire way to catch more fish however, if your fundamentals aren't in great shape ( casting with accuracy, knot tying, consistent lure presentation) you are in for a frustrating day for you and the driver. I would stay on the bank a while longer and really practice those things before getting on someone else's boat. After all, that is how we all learned at one point. Look at the Bassmaster website. There is a treasure trove of great info and videos that will keep you moving in the right direction. Be sure to have a goal on each trip, whether it be to work on casts or lure presentation. You will be on the fish in no time. Also look in the bank fishing forum. There is a google maps link that will show a lot of new water close to you. The lake you are fishing may get hammered daily which is going to make catching fish more difficult. When you do catch one remember Exactly what you were doing at the time. This is often overlooked by most fisherman. Good luck!

I can help you with all of it. Proper tackle, lures, lines, knots, casting, pitching, all techniques etc., and fishing.
I started out fishing in ponds many years ago, although back then we called them tanks. They were stock tanks, ponds built to water the cattle back then and they had some good bass in them also.

Pm sent. Getting a car would be first thing. Plenty of small efficient cars on c-list for cheap.

What do you think about the SUV>>? Will it fit your bill. Will you fix it up and drive it. Will your parents let you have it? You want find one any cheaper. He has already put 8K in it and wants very little. What's your plan.
