I have a rod that i broke the reel seat on. Is there a way to get it off and replace it? I really like the rod and its still good just has a broken reel seat. Thanks

yes...use a heat gun to soften glue. Take care not to burn or melt the blank. If the handle is a thru-blank then would split the seat to remove. Or you could ask one of the rod builders on this site to remove and replace, not sure of charge.

Like stated before you can loosen the glue with a heat gun or boiling water. If its a blank exposed reel seat you might have to cut it off. Really depends on what kind rod it is for how I would approach it. Feel free to give me a call and I will tell you what I would do. Austin (806)672-6151

You can use a screw-type hose clamp until you get a permanent fix.
