I've never fished Toledo bend, and I was going to go try it out this February. What are some go to things for that lake both bait and location wise? And are there any tips for fishing that lake in February? I know a couple east Texas lakes (lake o the pines, Monticello, a little be about fork), just never heard anything about toledo.

FLW will be there in 2 weeks, probably find out a lot during Prefish week and after tournament. Not sure when you are going.

When are you coming and which part of the lake are you going to fish? I will be glad to help you out. February is always one of the best months on Toledo Bend.

Yes February can be good, I caught a few really big fish last February. A trap and square bill are a good place to start. But if I was you I'd call Darold Gleason, he will lead you in the right direction.

very humble words from a man who caught a 14+

To the OP, Feb is usually the best month for big fish. I like to fish Jigs and Tx rigs, pitched to trees along the edges of creek channels.
And of course fishing the grass is always an option on Toledo.

I will be fishing FLW this month as a boater. I have never seen that lake at all so I am going blind. So just keep the tips coming. smile I really need them. Im not going to get much prefishing in, just 1-2 days before the tourney.

Thanks to all the tips given. I'll be fishing the west side, and from what I hear, probably up in some coves or in the grass. Thanks again.

Fish are everywhere from 1'-25' right now. The Everstart is shaping up to be pretty good. There should be some giants caught. Pinkston don't be so humble, you are the man above that bridge.
