I had the pleasure of taking a good friend and customer to Pines this weekend. WOW, is all I can say. Ive seen lots of boats there before but this was almost rediculous. I didnt count but there had to be 150 boats or more on the water. It was so crowded it took 30 min to get to the ramp and unload that morning.

On the other side we found some great quality fish. We had a lot of fish in the 13-15 inch range and one that measured 16 inches. She was a beauty! We did our best on jigs in 25-30ft of water just moving around alot. I didnt think the bite was as good as it had been the weeks prior. We pulled off the lake and was back on the trailer by noon.
Did anyone else fish that day. Im curious to what kind of pattern you found. Our fish were pretty scattered with the excpetion of one spot that we picked up about 10. The rest we had to work for.
Thanks

I was there Saturday it was crowded for sure. Fished in my pontoon with a friend and managed 25 but they were definately scattered caught most of ours on minnows in 28ft of water and most were quality fish. Soon as this wind gets out of here im sure ill be back at it.

Hey Chuck, ole Teasip and I are thinking about heading to Pines on Friday. Anything you can share with us about going? Never been on the lake before.

We were there Saturday and had an off day compared to the previous 5 trips. The spots where they had been biting were bare. No one we talked to seemed to be having any luck. The ramp and parking situation at Overlook is a total joke. Common sense gets thrown out the window as soon as people turn into the parking lot.

I was out sat and sun we caught 65 sat and 37 on sun all on slab bandit caddo magic We fished in 36 ft of water anchored up and we never moved all the fish were really nice caught lots of fish with slip bobbers letting the waves work the jig. As crowded goes it was terrible we saw a house boat lose his anchor and hit a nice bass boat just crazy

I been seeing that house boat out there lately. I was wishing I could go sit on his couch and drink some coffee. Sorry to hear about his anchor breaking lose.
Were you the guys with about 4pp in the boat anchored and had another boat anchored about 20ft from you. Everyone in each boat was facing the other boat. If so I saw you guys catching some fish.

Good luck. I've been trying to get out there for weeks. Looks like I will be fighting the crowd on Saturday

What he said!!..
When we came across the dam on the 19th I could not believe all the trucks/trailers... they were lining both sides of the access road and parking across the road in the Corps office parking lot!.
I didnt even turn in, went down to Buckhorn and put in on that boat ramp. Never made it out onto the main lake really... started getting good hits on 24-26ft. off the main lake and put about 20 12+ inchers in the boat.
