Had a fair amount of Cabelas points so thought to order stuff for the upcoming year. Was gonna delve more into swimbaits, so new rod in order, few spools of braid and flouro, few crankbaits I been hearing about, asst of softbaits, some swimbaits, hooks and a few other odds and ends....WOW.....example: 4 packs of Owner weighted hooks, total of 12 hooks, 38 bucks...are they using precious gems and gold in fishing stuff. Quickly decided that jigs and shakey heads will be the mode of operation again this year. Good news is after editing my order, I still have points left. Have to head for Academy, see what they have on clearance.

Buy the larger packages of hooks and stuff when they have employee pricing sales. It will save you a bundle.

try tacklewarehouse. they have owner swimbait hooks at $5 for 3...nearly half price of Cabelas.

The price of poor quality stuff is a lot higher than good quality stuff. I've lost too many good fish on poor quality, cheap stuff. Like Doug R said.
