We all know the big tree is in the middle of "the bend" now and I want to fish it.. I fish everywhere in my kayak, but have yet to fish the WRC bend because of all the asshats out there.. Im thinking now that the huge tree is there, and as long as I hunker down in its branches in the yak, dig a hole in the trash and drop a jig straight down, i wouldn't be bothering people.. what do yall think?? I dont want to have to deal with those folks chunkin lead at me because Im catching crappie..

Today a guy in a kayak caught a limit on the big branch sticking out from that tree. Others have made a a walkway in those branches and are jigging it as well. Theres a whole mess of fish to be caught down there.

combat fishing! LOL! smile

The pursuit (where are the fish), rigs design and setup, scouting, the awesome feeling of casting your rigs 100+ yards out, the total focus on the fish and the elements, the outdoors... the total exhaustion at the end of your fishing day,... the cooler full of fish to bring home... Yeah, I'm going to miss bank fishing!

If you ever go out there with your yak, post here to let everyone knows, I'll be out there just for the entertainment! LOL!

Btw, I think you're absolutely right about them crappie in that fallen tree... I was out there trying to net some shad last weekend (no luck), them netting actions would certainly drive them crappie into the tree. Sorry folks who fish there at the bent, I wasn't among those people who were netting shad around you, I was the guy with a bucket that walked pass you folks and way up north... smile

You know I drive by the bend often and have seen the croud lately drop to almost nothing. So much so, I figured the run was over. Might be a good time to Yak that mother. But, I have to figure if there are more than 2 - 3 people out there, wear some kevlar, because there is going to be lead flying.
