The HPDI's occasionally experience vapor lock which will shut the motor down but it typically happens when trying to get on plane, not while you're running up on pad.

Cranking battery connections, kill switch or high pressure electric fuel pump.

Yeah, I would suspect a bad ground.If you had fuel problems it probably should miss or run rough at some point.

I had problems like that when I first bought my boat. Only happened at wide open throttle. Died and started right up again. Fuel lines were good. Pulled tank and found tiny bits of silicone sealer in bottom. Cleaned out and never had the problem again.
