Most of the rivers should have salmon in em around that time. The kings usually start running in june and that's a good time for ling cod in the sound. If you're looking to fish the sound they can be caught from shore but it's kind of hit or miss. There are plenty of guides out there but I never used em so I couldn't tell you which one to talk to. I used to go down to the skokomish river was of olympia. It always had tons of fish but it's a one fish limit. I lived on fort lewis and it was about an hour drive so from seattle you're looking at 1.45 unless there's traffic then it'll be somewhere around 6 hours. I know there are some great rivers north of seattle that would be a lot closer but I never went up there.
