any feedback on these hooks, be it positive or negative? Have never tried them, and although I dont OFTEN fish drop shot, it is a tool I will utilize from time to time. Considering these hooks. Curious what yall say.

Many of the hardcore dropshot guys scoff at them, I like them just fine. If I have the fairy wand in my hand, it generally means I am struggling, but these have caught me some solid DS fish when it mattered.

I bought a pack to try out last year. I haven't used them.....shows you how much I drop shot!

I've tried them. To me, they are very hard to tie given the very small swivel holes. Think I'm going with a regular size swivel above the rig from now on.

Use braid to a fluro leader and you will not need those or a swivel. The braid will not have line twist and will perform much better on a spinning reel. I personally don't like that hook because it makes prep a pain. Rather than just a Palomar knot with a 8-12" tag end to slip a DS weight on you have to tie the hook, cut a weight leader line then put the weight on. DS is a simple rig up I feel. I usually use a 6ft leader so I can retie several times. The only time it sucks is when you have to install a new leader to the braid. Depending on my leader line size I can typically make a whole day off of one leader

I had my doubts about their strength and durability but after getting it hung up on a piece of discarded rope tied to a bridge pillar, they proved durable. After finally getting it back and inspecting, neither the hook or swivel was bent. It is kind of a pain in the butt to have to tie three knots for one setup but if you know your going to use it during an outing, pre-rigging the drop leader and weight would certainly save time.

6 years ago I taught myself how to fish with a spinning rod & they have helped me put more fish in the boat & win a little more money. I like the VMC spin shot hooks & use them often. If you want a heavier wire hook Gamakatsu has put out a swivel line of hooks as well & Bass Pro has both of them in the store.

Swivel gets bent alot. To me it's not worth the trouble. I like throwing a 1/0 owner rigging hook for fishing in timber, and gammy drop/split shot hook in open water. The river a tackle one with the clip looks good. One less knot to tie than the vmc.

Call or PM TFF's own Carlos Rivera with RiverATackle and be done with all of your dropshotting woes. His Spin 'N Rig hook uses the same technology with a slightly larger diameter wire for the swivel and a 1/0 Owner Rig'N hook. Both of the best rolled into one. Hook will not roll out and the swivel will not bend. Utilizing his hook also allows for a 100% weed less application by rigging your plastic the same as you would Texas rigging instead of nose hooking the bait.

excellent feedback. Thanks, guys. I had concerns about more knots.. also considered pre-rigging weights with their respective leaders.
I might try some out, but I dont see it revolutionizing the way I drop shot.
