The TD did a fantastic job as he always does. The Squaw Creek Park employee who decided to randomly walk out on the dock with no bull horn and shout out over a bay full of RUNNING boats is & was completely responsible for today's misunderstanding. Bassackwards Dav, if u were not @ the event to witness firsthand how the misunderstanding went down, I would like u to consider reserving judgement on something that u did not participate in.
Jimmye123, thank u for another great open. We sure look forward to the next one!
Justin

The miss hap was in no way Jimmy's fault. It was 100% park staff. There were plenty that were not in the tournament that did the same thing. I was one of the closer boats to the bank and couldn't make out what was being said. They should of had everyone turn off their engines and had the two staff members that were in the parks John boat spread the word instead. Great tournament Jimmy can't wait till the next one.

What iam saying is be responsible for yourself s . WSBC isnt small open or not they hosted it. When ya host it they set rules and correlate the event. Sqauw creek has been fickle to coming around to these bigger tourneys. Plan and be responsible. It only takes a few to ruin it for everyone. ask anyone that fished the tournie, if they new the tourn. rules before launching their boats?????? hmmm so u pay 30.00 to get in the secured place to fish and FOLLOW THEIR DECISIONS on when and where u can fish!!!!! . I see yawls point it would suc to no the guys that are on holes north are fishing and your waiting to go south. Sorry for ruffleing feathers. I would have said something to them about it. They should have hheld field til all could go.

I wasn't at squaw last weekend, but just from reading this thread alone I have to question why Jimmy was catching any heat for this incident. To attempt to "call out" Jimmy and disgrace WSBC over a few individuals who seem to have made a honest mistake is out of line to say the least. Outside of WSBC, Jimmy has been running trails and opens for several years and I know first hand how "respocible" he and his guys are. The only people who are going "ruin it for everyone else" are the people who don't follow the parks rules and directions. Some examples are those who wait until 3:55 pm to start running back the the marina, fast idle in the no wake zone, leave trash on the lake and in the parking lot, sit in the parking lot boat wiping and beer drinking til 4:30, ect.
A couple Sundays ago, (there was no open tournament going on) there was a two and a half hour fog delay. The park attendant came over the bullhorn, and rather than everyone pipe down and listen, they all began cranking up their big motors and idling towards the main lake bowies. The park attendant was trying to ask that NOBODY blast off outside of the bowies, take your time entering the main lake, and if you were going to the south end to idle only. I stayed behind rigging up a few rods and watched as about 30 or more boats paid absolutely no mind to the attendants request and blasted off.
Jimmy, I've only got to fish one of you squaw opens this year but have enjoyed fishing your gigs on EM, HC, ect. As stated before you do an excellent job. Also, don't let the above complaints keep anyone from checking out WSBC. They are a great club with some of the best anglers in the ft worth area.
Congrats to Trav and Danny!

Heck, look at this way fellows, we got fish behind, around and sometimes next to each other and cut up and laugh with people you usually don't see on the water. Kim and I had a good time with Jimmy, Travis and Danny, Yankee and a few others inside the buoys before they let us leave. Any day fishing is better than the alternative. See ya on the next one Jimmy
