Pretty amazing fish! But so friggin' fat! Did they just feed that thing lard for a year then catch it? Lol.

Much as I'd love to catch a fish that size, I prefer the carp we have over here to those over stuffed, fat Euro fish lol. Our carp seem to be sleek, torpedo shaped, powerful, all muscle fighting machines....Those huge carp I see in the Euro mags look fat, and lazy lol. I'm sure they can still fight, but I'd rather catch one of our carp that size if ever possible. Plenty of 50's and 60's up north anyway. And that's 60 pounds of muscle lol. Wonder how those 80+ buffalo fight.

Thats wild stuff, you will need to have a good day to compete with those Eoropeans in your big tournament.

Zack,
By the way, I tried to email you about fishing Saturday, and each time I got the dreaded failure to deliver message. Is that email address on your profile correct ? If not, can you email me so I can pass on some information and questions to you.

Thanks

Good lord....and people have the nerve to call catfish ugly. Catfish are downright CUTE compared to those things. There is some sort of carp that look downright diseased. It has kind of a random scattering of scales on it. Do you know which ones I am talking about ?

Lol, most carp are no where near as ugly as that one. Well, most American carp anyway, the evolved version of the british "Wild" carp. For whatever reason, all those Euro carp I see pictures of look really fat. Guess they just overfeed them to pump up the weight or something? And yeah I know what kind of carp you're talking about, those are mirror/leather carp, mirrors I think. Just a weird genetic thing. Some like that fat one above have almost no scales, and I believe if they're totally scale free, they are leathers. Really weird looking fish.
