Was wondering if anyone has been in a Eagle Talon? I have came across a good deal on 2 eagle talons for the price of one in great condition. The talon looks alittle more stable than the Mantaray but not sure. I have a mantaray and love it. Figure I will buy both and figure out which one I want to sale. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

If you're getting two Eagle Talons for the price of one, that's a great deal. Make sure they are solid and without leaks.

Here's a great review of the Talon: LINK

Well I went ahead and baught both eagle talons for 550. Mainly wanted one for my wife and the fella was moving and wanted to sell them as a pair. Have a nice Talon for sale now, keeping my Native. Both kayaks have been on the water one time and then put up and never taken out again. Good deal I think lol.

Uh, that's one helluva a deal. Especially if you're able to flip a Talon and recoup most of your money.

I sold one of the Talons for $450. Made out like a bandit. Ended up getting a new Talon for $100.00.

Basshogg, I have one of those Talons and is my first kayak. I was able to get it on sale with accessories at Dick's to be able to dive into this addiction. First off, I love the thing, but there are some pros and cons I've discovered. It comes with some nice features like rod holders, anchor system (which I extended), good front hatch cover, plenty of inside storage. The boat is pretty tough for one in this price range. It seems a lot stronger than the Bass Pro Ascent. The back sink is narrower than most average kayaks and thus won't allow a normal crate to sit inside it. I found a nice crate with crate storage buddy kind of insert from Austin Kayak (ACK) that fits nice. I don't use the front rod holder any more because that's where I put my Humminbird fish finder. Perfect position for a fish finder and easy to install, inside the hull transducer mount. It has those little grooves by the front hatch for where you can lay your rod tips (kind of like the Jacksons) that sure help. Now the seat for me was terrible so I replaced that with a high back, more cushioned seat from ACK. I still get numbleg after a few hours. I tried putting a Jackson seat in it to help with numbleg but I felt like it was way to high center of gravity and was real tipsy so had to give up on that dream! I don't think I could ever stand in this thing. It tracks pretty darn good and is easy to paddle. I can get the thing moving pretty fast. Bottom line, for $450 (what I paid) it's a pretty good entry level kayak, just needs a couple upgrades. But I want the more comfortable seat option (i.e the Jackson, Native or WS Ride) and the capability to stand up safely, so I will probably upgrade this year. Will probably hang onto this one for taking friends along, etc. Nevertheless, you got a steal of a deal! Unfortunately, it doesn't stop there! Let the accessory shopping begin!
