my son foul hooked this odd looking fish and I have no idea what it is. Looks like a Rock Bass but I'm not sure....maybe a freshwater talapia really don't know. Can anyone tell me for sure? BTW we caught somewhere around 25 fish between 1 and 3 pounds. Most were cuaght [img:right] [/img] shallow on wind blown main lake points.

Did you kill it? I was told by a friend (a Game Warden was supposed to have told him this) that if you catch a non-native fish you are suppose to kill it. Talapia is not native.
That's just what my friend said. I have not looked it up in the regulations.

Shoulda fileted it and fried it!
You can avoid having ulcers by adapting to the situation: If you fall in the mud puddle, check your pockets for fish. ~Unknown
Open your eyes & look within, are you satisfied with the life youre living.
No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.

Caught quite a few on Fayette Couny on rattletraps on windy points...in their mouth. They will hit lures occasionaly.
