Changed line on all my reels last February but did not fish one time last year. Rods were kept in the garage and subject to heat and cold but low light.

Your opinion. Should the line be changed before fishing this year?

It's just as old on your reel as it would be on the original spool.. I have a bulk spool that I've had for several years and it shows no weakness. No way I would.

The flouro and mono most likely got a lot of memory to it sitting around for a year so I'd change it out

Send it!

Absolutely change it. Pull some out and see how much it curls.

KVD line conditioner is some good stuff, fish with it and if you break of some fish or its to curly change it out.

Never tried the KVD stuff but if you can eliminate the memory you I dont see any reason for it to be fatigued.
