Went to EM not expecting much but wound up getting a new PB. Not enough wind to drift so I decided to use the TM to slow troll, about .6 mph. Went through one area and got a 14# and 8#. I was in the deep water off the dam, everything was caught in 35-40 FOW. Pretty slow for the next hour or so, so I headed north from the dam. Had four lines out and had hits on all lines at the same time! Did I mention I was fishing solo? Made for an exciting, and tiring, thirty minutes, but got them all in the boat. Had a couple more 8#, a 7# and a 2# (???? Don't know how he got in there). After another hour, I decided to reverse and go back again. Had a hit on one line and started trying to reel it in. I thought I had hooked the bottom of the lake! The reel started giving me problems, sounded like gears grinding, and I couldn't retrieve the line. I would pull about a foot and the fish would take it back? The fish was about 40 yards out so I started pulling with the rod and reeling as much as I could. I fnally got the fish close to the boat but still 40 feet down. I gave up on the reel, threw down the rod and started hand lining him in. I got him to the surface and got the net over him, but had to rest a bit - my arms were like rubber! I pulled him into the boat and as soon as soon I set the net down, the hook came out. All of the pulling and the fish running had worked the hook loose. Being alone, I couldn't very well take a picture but wanted one, so I ran across the lake to another boat just off Baptist Point. Two guys fihsing there kindly took time to get a couple of pictures and weigh the fish because my scales only went to 25#. I neglected to get their names but I appreciate their help. The fish weighed about 38#, a new personal best for me. After taking pictuers and weighing, I put him back in the water so someone else can catch him. Forgot to mention - all fish caught on buffalo.

Sounds like a great day of fishing! It can get pretty crazy fishing multiple poles alone.
