"outdoorsman" is a title generated by TFF for the number of posts he has. Changes as your # of posts increases.

I live outside the city area and have lots of trees and a creek at the back of my property. Many areas that snakes and critters love. I like the critters except for the rodents which I have very little of thanks to the snakes. Every living thing eats up something else. I would rather have snakes than rodents. When the weather is very dry and the creek runs low the snakes come to my flower beds for moisture and then they eat up the insects. I have a snake catcher tool for when they pose a problem and then we put the snakes in a closed garbage can and relocate them. We try not to hurt them so they can go and eat more rodents and insects. Not all, but most snakes you will see are in the Rat Snake family. Last year a friend of mine unwisely was weedeating in a very overgrown area wearing shorts instead of long pants and thongs for footwear. He was bitten by a Rat Snake on the ankle, only had a pretty bad infection and the bite area looked bad. He was not bothered much by the bite, did not even know for days what it was.

I still do not want a snake on me, but on my property is ok.
scared
