Just a a joke folks. Didnt mean to ruffle feathers. Just comparing the two because you have to be pretty good to pull in big fish with that light of a line. Same could be said if you were good enough to pop a deer in the ear with a 22 vs a big caliber rifle. Sorry if I offended anyone it was just a joke. Its been taken out of context. My fault.

I have never bass fished with 4lb but caught a 29 inch rainbow trout in Wyoming on a 2lb tippet. I can't imagine fishing for a bass with thread.
Retirement best job ever.

I never used 4 pound test line, but I have caught a 2 pound bass on a fly rod using 2 pound tippet. Using a popping bug in 6 inches of moving water. Nice

I fished a tournament on Lake Travis where the winner from New Hampshire caught his fish using that float/fly deal and 4lb. flourocarbon He had a 6lber in one of his sacks. To date thats the biggest bass I've seaught on 4lb. He got first place and 125,000 bucks, I got next to last. I never dreamed of fishin 4lb for bass, much less a high stakes tournament. Guess I'll just keep donating.
