Alligators and Snakes are enough to keep me out of the water while fishing. I will stay in my boat thank you. eeks

Don't think we need to worry around the DFW area about 10' gators in the lakes to knock me out of my boat. OMG! I sure hope not. If I see one I am firing up my motor and getting the heck out of there. Watching the trees for snakes while fishing the creeks for Crappie in Spring is enough to worry about.

if they have ever been fed by humans .....
you could be in serious trouble .....
crocs in costa jumped in the air to grab baseball caps thrown at them ....
3 different species of bears in alaska tried to take salmon from me ......
i think if there is the chance of a close encounter with a LARGE predator ....
maybe you try another spot ...
or you could be the one on the news that everyone gawks at....
saying things ....like ....wow....glad i aint him

Every spring and summer people wade fish all over the state. If it was a major concern you would have seen or heard about it

What Lead Head said. Gators will not bother you as you don't bother them. I'd rather be around gators than snakes. Snakes suck!!! There are very few gator attacks each year with the majority coming from Florida. There are almost as many gators in florida as humans. I'd be much more concerned about the snakes here in Texas.

You'd be better off to worry about the snakes.

Most of the few gators on hubbard stay in two certain areas and they aren't anywhere you'd be wading anyway.

I've never seen one on Lavon, but I'd assume it's probably about like Hubbard. Very few of them and they have one or two areas I can think of off the top of my head where'd I'd expect to see them; not somewhere you'd bump into one wading.

They're definitely on Fork. But how many people wade fork? A lot. How many gator attacks? None. If you're real worried, get a floating stringer and keep your fish away from you and you'll be fine. I think your only worry with a gator would be getting to close to a nest. All bets are off then bolt

haha from what Ive heard there about 10 or 15 gators in lake worth of varying size... luckily the lake is big enough you will probably never see um at those numbers.. now turtles on the other hand...

Its not about how deep you can fish but by how you wiggle your worm

Up the creek, just outside the nature center boundary, by a guy in a 10 or 12 foot bass buggy.

I'd worry more about the mudd on fork than gators.
