We placed these large cedar stumps on the ice this morning. They were too large to handle by boat last fall when we put the rest of the piles in.

Would the stumps not float? That is what I use to do with cedar trees that I was sinking pull them where I wanted them add weight then.

Take another peek, Brad....I didn't notice at first either, but they have a cinder block, or two fastened to them....pretty ingenious idea for the larger, heavier stumps

I can relate. I got so cold last Sunday fishing a tournament that about 3 PM I put my shirt back on! No kidding, my son told me I was getting red! A tan in January, what a deal. Oh, had big fish and 2nd overall too!

I saw the blocks but they could have been added on the water, I think anyway. It's cool but like already stated everyone will know where they are now

You guys better walk softly, If that ice breaks, you're gonna place a couple of atvs too, not to mention yourselves.

I did the same thing with my pond when I lived in Kansas. I used my tractor and a trailer (very thick ice ). Anytime I wanted some fresh specs for dinner I knew right where to find them.

The ice is over 10" thick in that cove. Very strong.
